Why this Book?

You have completed the book review. You have chosen your book. ...but why? What drew you to this story or this particular book?

The theme of our "Senior Read" unit is the idea of "Windows and Mirrors". Would you say that this book acts as a window or mirror for you? No need to give specific reasons (as it may be personal) just let your fellow reader know how this book functions for you.

  1. I choose this book because the story grabbed my attention. I like the idea of seeing someone's else life is and get to see what they go through. I haven't read this book before. I think this book is a window. I relate in some ways. Like to protect my siblings, but other than that I do not.

  2. I chose this book because I like more of the creepy stories. This book is more of a window then a mirror. It's more of a mirror because it's about two brothers who go through a lot of stuff. I can relate to some of the things happening in the book. I can relate to wanting to protect my sibling and making sure they are okay.

  3. I chose this book because it catches my interest in things like death mysteries and revenge. I think this book is more of a mirror on my hometown and what goes on with my family and the losses of loved ones.

  4. I chose this book because when I looked at the video review i had an interest in it after hearing what it was about, especially because it is in poem form. I think this story to me is more of a window story since i can not really relate to it. The only thing I can relate to is how I am in regards to keeping my siblings safe.

  5. I chose this book because I feel that gun violence is an issue and will always be an issue as long as guns exist. It's especially sad when a child or teen is exposed to weapons and violence and is ripped away from their innocence. This story is a "Window"looking in on the life of another person.
